Skin is an organ, and a very sensitive one at that. When you over scrub or irritate your skin you are only causing an inflammatory response. This could cause more acne, post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (dark brown spots) or more common “sensitive skin.” Most clients claim they have sensitive skin, more often than not they aren’t truly sensitive but have irritated their skin so badly it’s constantly red and sensitive to the harsh chemicals being used.
Love your skin. Gently exfoliate 2-4 times a week, depending on skin type. For best results consult a skin expert and have them put together a regimen for your skin that will make it happy and glowing, not red and angry. Come see us!
